I recently had the pleasure of holidaying in Faro and Albufeira, two gems of the Algarve in Portugal, and it was nothing short of amazing.
A trip to the Algarve wouldn’t be complete without venturing out onto the water. One morning, we joined a boat tour that weaved through hidden sea caves and secluded beaches. The coastline here is absolutely beautiful. After a long day of drinking Super Bock and taking in the views, we ventured onto a secluded beach where the locals organised a huge barbecue which included copious amounts of grilled sardines, steaks and more beers.
Portugal is very known for its huge variety of fish, so I thought I would take full advantage of this. I had oysters, swordfish, sardines and even had the pleasure of eating a stingray, although the bed of garlic and olive oil did not make it taste any better.
All in all, I would highly recommend the Algarve if you love fish, good weather and interacting with the friendliest locals.

I spent most of the days hopping between sea swims and sun loungers, while staying on the beach til’ the sun went down. Tried wake surfing for the […]
