Being a Londoner born south of the river, one of my favourite local destinations I often find myself visiting is Greenwich. Popular with both locals and tourists, Greenwich offers a mixture of green spaces, riverside walks, pubs, and a local market where you can get your hands on a variety of goods, from craft items to what is my personal favourite, street food. After indulging in the diverse range of options on offer at the market, a stroll to the top of the hill in Greenwich Park will see you greeted with what is in my opinion, one of the best views of the Capital.
It is also home to other popular attractions such as the Cutty Sark, The Royal Observatory, home of the Prime Meridian Line dividing the western and eastern hemisphere, and The Old Royal Naval College, well known for its impressive architecture, there is always plenty to keep you occupied.
I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Greenwich should you be in the local area.

I spent most of the days hopping between sea swims and sun loungers, while staying on the beach til’ the sun went down. Tried wake surfing for the […]
