A regular thing we do amongst friends in the city during the warmer summer months is to try out some of the more popular rooftop bars. This time did not disappoint with a well spent summer evening at Wagtail, perched high above the City of London it feels like stepping into a world where the skyline becomes part of the experience. This rooftop restaurant and bar has quickly become one of the Square Mile’s most striking destinations, blending panoramic views, refined dining, and a vibrant late‑night atmosphere.
Wagtail sits atop one of the City’s grand Art Deco buildings at 68 King William Street, offering 360° views of London’s most iconic landmarks Tower Bridge, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard, the Gherkin, and the Walkie Talkie. From the moment you step out of the lift, the terrace opens up like a cinematic reveal London Bridge stretching toward The Shard, the Thames glinting below, and the architectural drama of old and new London unfolding in every direction. This is the city not as a place of work, but as a stage alive, illuminated, and endlessly fascinating.
If you enjoy a relaxing friday evening after a fast paced & busy week, this is certainly the place to be.

Whilst I hadn’t really […]
Three weeks ago, over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, three friends and I made our way to Barcelona. A city I’d never visited before and hadn’t heard a bad word about, so I was keen to see what the fuss was about and discover the Catalonian culture. In typical tourist-style we first visited the works […]
