On the 12th September I had the privilege of watching the 2025 BMW PGA Championship at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, getting to watch a field of some of the best golfers in the world, including the European Ryder Cup team up close. The event known as the “Festival of Golf” due to the offering of a wider range of entertainment including a Celebrity Pro-Am event, live music and other activities for spectators, is a very relaxed environment where you can see an incredible array of talent up close.
Following players such as Rory Mcllroy, Shane Lowry and Jon Rahm allows the opportunity to experience technical ability beyond what many appreciate to be involved, and an elite performance was applied by Alex Noren on his way to victory. An event that I will be sure to return to.
To continue my love of this sport and producing a significantly lower display of talent the following weekend, I ventured to The Vale Resort in Cardiff taking on both The Wales National Course and The Lakes Course.
Both picturesque courses full of challenging holes separated in their entirely different designs. With the Lakes course containing 12 of the championship golf course’s 18 holes involving water and the National Course being a par 73 of over 7,000 yards and a road being far too close for comfort on the 18th it was a weekend getaway to be remembered and recommended for any of those seeking an opportunity to test themselves whilst enjoying a relaxing environment then this should certainly be considered.
I travelled to New York for the first time, and it felt like stepping into a movie scene that I had only ever seen in the movies. From the moment I arrived, the city had an energy unlike anywhere else I had visited. The streets were full of life, bright lights, music, and people from […]
A few weeks ago I found myself in crew for The Head of the River Race’s one hundredth anniversary. This is the biggest head race (long distance rowing race) in the country, hosting crews not just from the country but the world, in all 375 crews were entered, totalling 3,000 rowers. Whilst I hadn’t really […]
Three weeks ago, over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, three friends and I made our way to Barcelona. A city I’d never visited before and hadn’t heard a bad word about, so I was keen to see what the fuss was about and discover the Catalonian culture. In typical tourist-style we first visited the works […]
