Non-league football has a buzz of its own for me, which I think surpasses the star-studded Premier League. With the winter weather finally subsiding, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to watch some true grassroots football, something I believe all football fans should experience from time to time. Many smaller clubs are suffering financially due to the rising cost of living, which has also led to dwindling attendances. While it may not have the same levels of brilliance that world-class teams can provide, it offers its own unmatched quality and brilliant entertainment!
This weekend, I attended Brentwood Town vs. Felixstowe & Walton, and what a game it was! A scrappy affair with lots of attacking football, it was a thrilling watch, especially as it was a top-of-the-table clash that could decide the league winners. After 90 minutes of football, the game was level, with both teams throwing everything they could at a chance to score a winner. In Brentwood’s favour, that winner came in the 95th minute, and they now sit proudly at the top of the league. Proper football.

I travelled to New York for the first time, and it felt like stepping into a movie scene that I had only ever seen in the movies. From the moment I arrived, the city had an energy unlike anywhere else I had visited. The streets were full of life, bright lights, music, and people from […]

Whilst I hadn’t really […]
