In late November, I had the pleasure of visiting Bucharest, the vibrant capital of Romania. The city, often referred to as “Little Paris” is a fascinating blend of old-world charm and modern energy.

As I wandered through the streets, I was captivated by the stunning architecture. The grandiose buildings of the Belle Époque era stood proudly alongside sleek, contemporary structures. One of the highlights was the Palace of the Parliament, an awe-inspiring edifice that is one of the largest administrative buildings in the world.

The weather was crisp and cool, perfect for exploring the city’s many parks and gardens. I spent a peaceful afternoon in Herăstrău Park, where the autumn leaves created a picturesque landscape. The park’s serene lake and winding pathways offered a tranquil escape from the bustling city. Bucharest’s rich history was evident at every turn.

The local cuisine was another highlight of my trip. I indulged in traditional Romanian dishes like sarmale (cabbage rolls) and mămăligă (polenta), which were both hearty and delicious. The city’s vibrant food scene also included a variety of international cuisines, reflecting its cosmopolitan nature.

One of the most memorable experiences was exploring the Old Town, with its narrow cobblestone streets and lively atmosphere. The area was filled with charming cafes, bustling bars, and unique shops. It was the perfect place to soak in the local culture and enjoy the city’s nightlife.

Overall, my visit to Bucharest was a delightful experience. The city’s rich history, stunning architecture, and warm hospitality left a lasting impression on me. I look forward to returning and discovering even more of what this beautiful city has to offer.
