Last year, I had the chance to visit Split, Croatia — and it turned out to be one of the most memorable trips I’ve ever taken. From fantastic beaches to adrenaline-filled adventures, it had everything you could want.
One of the highlights was definitely the beaches. The coastline in Split is amazing with clear turquoise water that include huge mountains in the backdrop. But the trip wasn’t just about relaxing, my friends and I went white water rafting which was both hilarious and nerve wracking especially in a large kayak filled with not the most hand eye coordinated individuals (not including myself of course), so made for a very choppy ride.
We also went quad biking which was a little less daunting as I was finally in control of my own means of transport. Driving through dusty trails and open roads it made for a really fun time. However, one of my mates did end up venturing off-piste and crashing resulting in quite a hefty fine!
Looking back, Split offered the perfect balance of relaxation, adventure, and culture. It’s the kind of place where you can chill on the beach then do adrenaline filled activities in the afternoon. All in all It is definitely somewhere I’d love to return to in the future.

I travelled to New York for the first time, and it felt like stepping into a movie scene that I had only ever seen in the movies. From the moment I arrived, the city had an energy unlike anywhere else I had visited. The streets were full of life, bright lights, music, and people from […]
A few weeks ago I found myself in crew for The Head of the River Race’s one hundredth anniversary. This is the biggest head race (long distance rowing race) in the country, hosting crews not just from the country but the world, in all 375 crews were entered, totalling 3,000 rowers. Whilst I hadn’t really […]
