A few months back, me and three of my dear friends visited the wonderful city of Prague, we had high hopes for this trip, and it certainly lived up to our expectations! We had been planning a city break for some while, choosing between various European cities, before deciding on the Czech capital. It is a city that has everything you could ask for; from the beautiful, cobbled roads, the amazing architecture and for us four gentleman (the most important factor of them all) the pub selection!
The best moment was getting to see Czech football live. Unfortunately, we were unable to get tickets for Sparta or Slavia Prague, so we had to settle for the capitals third rate team, Dukla Prague. While Dukla may have lost the game 3-1, I couldn’t help but think how much better their atmosphere was than any British team in the land. Despite being relegation threatened their fans never stopped cheering the team on, something us, British fans, could do instead of berating our players at any given moment!
All in all, it was a wonderful trip, I would visit the city again in a heartbeat!

This is the biggest head race (long distance rowing race) in the country, hosting crews not just from the country but the world, in all 375 crews were entered, totalling 3,000 rowers. Whilst I hadn’t really […]
