Meeting spring in Milan felt like the perfect escape. Even though the weather didn’t exactly welcome us – with grey skies and chilly rain – it somehow added to the atmosphere, making the city feel even more cinematic and alive.
The trip was all about simple pleasures. Catching up with friends in such a beautiful setting reminded me how important these moments are. We wandered through the streets, discovering cosy cafes and indulging in local food – even pizza with potatoes, which turned out to be surprisingly delicious.
One of the highlights was visiting the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milan, the largest Starbucks in Europe. Beyond the coffee itself, the place blends Italian elegance with modern design. Speaking of drinks, I also tried something new – ginseng coffee, a slightly sweet, energising alternative that quickly became a favourite.
The most memorable moment was celebrating two of my best friends’ birthdays at the breathtaking Lake Como. We laughed, shared stories, and just enjoyed being together in such a beautiful place.
Italy in spring doesn’t always come with sunshine, but it definitely has its own charm – offering a quiet beauty and moments that stay with you long after the trip ends.

A few weeks ago I found myself in crew for The Head of the River Race’s one hundredth anniversary. Whilst I hadn’t really […]
Three weeks ago, over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, three friends and I made our way to Barcelona. A city I’d never visited before and hadn’t heard a bad word about, so I was keen to see what the fuss was about and discover the Catalonian culture. In typical tourist-style we first visited the works […]
